Float COS is a free to attend, one-day music festival located in Colorado Springs, CO. It's a collective movement to engage the community and challenge civil participation in Colorado Springs by highlighting talented locals willing to take the stage, serve food, or serve other members of the community.
Colorado Springs is pretty big for a small town, and it’s thriving. Everyday we have new top tier restaurants, small businesses, and organizations popping up all around our gorgeous city-scape. Yet every time someone asks where to find good local music, I hesitate. Why is that? Obviously we are a very inspired community, so what's the deal? I’ve wrestled with every possibility: the weather's too unpredictable, people hate music, COVID-19, maybe the altitude puts us in a daze? But I’ve also arrived at the conclusion, after a good five years, that something should change. After watching an indie folk horror at Kimball’s and then smoking a few CBD cigarettes, Will and I decided to pull a Gandhi and be the change we wished to see in the world. So we decided to host a music festival that will push people out of their comfort zones and put the spotlight on our local artists. So who’s in?
